I fear this is another one of those things that will come back to bite the democratic party in the a$$ some day. It is in the same manner as Harry Reid's move to require only a simple majority in the senate when it was to his advantage. Every single future president will have this facing him/her. The precedent being set is that if a party in the majority in the house of representatives does not like the sitting president for whatever reason they can impeach him on the flimsiest of suspicion without anything that might pass the test of being evidence in any courtroom, and say they are doing it to "save our democracy." All of this came about because we had the temerity to vote someone into office that they didn't think they wanted there, and we did not vote for the person they thought had it won.
