The cannabis sector is going through a wave of disruption. What seems good today likely will not be good once the wave ends.

Rising costs in the largest market (California) means the black market will thrive and push legal companies out of business.

Canada is now primed for a crash in the cannabis market. Why? As California collapses due to high taxes on cannabis, every legal company is incentivized to chase the retail store rollout by opening Canadian subsidiaries. Free market competition will itself collapse prices. Basically Canada for cannabis is California but on a countrywide scale.

$TXHD would have been better off not chasing a hot market. It's going to be a long five years.
