People have been wrong in the past, and they could be wrong now. Expenses were too high in the past that's why they lost a lot of money especially in 2015 and 2016.
Yes, either they distribute the other 1.44 and close shop, or, they will survive. My guess is, they will be close to break even next year and the remaining $25M in cash is more than sufficient. Why else would they pay a $1 dividend?
This stuff is hilarious. Any other company would die for a $25M cash buffer. Here, people are writing the company off. And like I said earlier, people have been wrong in the past as well.
Thinking about it, perhaps they want to sell the company at some point.
