Everyone knows it is typical. I agree with your take as I noticed the same text. It is really todays news plus yesterdays or tomorrows, and we should get something better because we mix this breakthrough with future constructs, etc etc.

No doubt good things will come of it, because they have likely improved the same baseline before and saw what it meant. That's the thing with good science. You are able to make accurate predictions predicated on prior knowledge. No doubt it is very good and this is how Kim likes to introduce the future.

In competitive endeavors, we shouldn't expect too much. Judging by things Ben said in the past, where he thought something was news worthy, and Kim didn't.....this likely means more than we are going to understand without explanation. Might be waiting 2 weeks to learn more or 2 years. Maybe it is another PR meant for someone else too.
