The boots I ordered my wife and sister in-law came over the weekend. I’ve now had a chance to inspect them.

IMO:

The packaging was of good quality, well made, not a flimsy box. The design has eye appeal with the design and L4L logo. I would say that the box and packaging of the boots would be “top tier” for stores like forever21, Macy’s, Kohl’s, Walmart, etc. The places where the most sales volume will likely be generated from.

At the same time, I believe they would be at home and hold their own in small custom and boutique style shops. Though the packaging in those shops would be more middle of the road.

All in all I was impressed by both the packages attributes as well as the time that was taken to pack the boots. There was both Foam protectors in the boots folds, as well as layers of tissue everywhere between each set of boots where they may touch or rub on their mate. I was impressed of the concern and time that they seemed to haven taken in carefully packaging their product. I’ve seen much more expensive shoes and boots that I own packed with less regard.

I’d give the Box and packing at-least a 9 out 10 when compared to similar products with this style and price point.

Boots:
Both sets of boots(2styles) seem to be unique in their features and design. I like how one is lined in plad and feels like it will be very cozy and comfortable.
In my opinion they seem to be of very nice quality materials and craftsmanship for their price and style. Meeting and or exceeding competing brands. Several of which my wife and daughters have in there closets.

I see no noticeable imperfections, missed stitches, hanging threads, or poor aligned seems. One of the styles of soles seem like it may not have as long of a wear as the other style, but I also will add that is a typical sole of the design. I say this because another similar pair of my wife’s boots that are 4 or 5 times as much as this pair have a very similar thin sole.

I would say that the same determinations I made about the boxes with their retail locations would apply with the boots. Though I feel that in boutiques many of the styles L4L has I believe could exist in the top tier of the products being sold. Though much of that would be dependent on style, material, design etc. Also it’s dependent on the taste of the boutique and how they choose to display/market them in the shop.

I can see the boots selling well for $40–$55 at Walmart or for $90-$110 at a boutique and doing well in both. The posh designs and quality seem to make them very marketable in both, and give them retail versatility. That’s also seems to be exactly what is happening in real time.

I am pleased to honestly say; I think we have a sound product and my expectations where met and exceeded in some areas upon inspecting them. And all for .01 per share.

Though I’ll be curious to see what the women make of them. Perhaps they’ll get them early.

Now I am looking forward to the weeks and months ahead even more so.
