The main thing that will scare any shorting preferred holders completely away is an influx of continuous retail buyers. They lose total control in that instance.

That's why the court issues are so important here. It looks like Mnuchin/Calabria have put forth their own timetable exclusive of the courts (ACG Analytics clearly has an insider feeding them good information on the Mnuchin/Calabria timetable. Their stock predictions have been another matter altogether.....and they are accounting little for the courts).

But if these court rulings provide some of the kinds of surprises that become realities, retail investors are going to come out of the woodwork, bigly. And the shorters will be gone.
