The quarterly CNBC Small Business Confidence Index has found the way small business owners see how economic conditions and other issues like rising government debt affect their business is profoundly affected by their political affiliation.

Only a small percentage of Democratic small business owners think the removal of Donald Trump by impeachment would affect their business negatively, while more the majority of Republican small business owners feel the impeachment of Trump will have a negative or devastating effect on their business.

But when asked about the current economy the numbers reverse with 68% of Republican small business owners and 34% of Democratic small businesses owners agreeing current economic conditions are good.

The majority of Democratic small business owners agree that rapidly rising government deficits will pose a major problem for their business in the future while only 18% of Republican business owners feel rapidly rising government debt could affect their business in the future.

Each year there are dozens of studies published regularly by organizations like the National Federation of Independent Businesses, The US chamber of commerce, Bank of America, Wells Fargo and others that measure the confidence and optimism of small business owners. But none of these studies ask about the political leanings of their respondents which appears to profoundly affect the results.

This is important because 30 million small businesses in the US self-employ or employ more than half of all American workers.

In the section which asked for additional comments, the Republican owner of "Jumbo Toilets" was particularly excited by Trump's revelation that he has to flush the toilet 10 to 15 times to clear the bowl of excrement. "I'm confident this will remove the shame which prevents many consumers who are also heavy hitters from buying a Jumbo toilet for their homes.

We've run out of other people's Social Security taxes needed to subsidize our low income tax rates.
