It was mined in the 1930's. It has two shafts 800 metres apart with three drifts: 125 feet deep, 325 feet deep and 525 feet deep. No one knows how much gold they mined as there are no records but a whole small village was built around the shafts.
In the 1980's further exploration was done and they have a gold deposit of 67,000 ounces.
JSHG acquired the Kenty Mine in 2012 but was hit by a lawsuit in 2013 as an earlier company said they owned it.
The lawsuit goes on, but it seems as if JSHG should prevail.
Meanwhile JSHG keeps searching for other properties to acquire.
