Wendys is ranked as the second fastest in drive thru times for it's customers, with Chic-Fil-A ranked as the worst.

I would argue that sometimes long waits are a good thing, and for places like KFC and anywhere you get a sandwich, you want your food to be FRESH and not sitting around for long. If a drive thru line is busy and they have a limited menu, then it's likely that your food is very fresh to begin with as they're moving a lot more product. When you're the only one in the drive thru and get your food immediately, it means it's likely been sitting around for a bit, especially if it isn't a custom order.

Wendys is a nice option as they offer a decent menu selection that shouldn't be confusing to its customers. There's almost always a car or two in the drive thru at the location where I visit during peak hours, but the wait isn't long and the food is almost always fresh, which is most important. Should they start offering breakfast items during the day next year, drive thru wait times could increase.
