I'm not convinced the Farm bill helped us or CW in delivering more sales. It's created an environment where the market is flooded with garbage and people mistakenly believe it is regulated and they are protected.

It helped our SP for a time but the Farm Bill has caused a mass misunderstanding of hemp and CBD legality. 75% of people think CBD oil is legal and FDA controlled. another 17% aren't sure. 92% of people may think any CBD is safe and regulated. THis is due to the farm bill and what people think it meant for hemp.

The Farm bill did open the market up to mass merchants with topicals, with the idea that it was a step to full federal legalization of ingestibles. But if ingestibles never happen then there's little value.

I can buy private labelled CBD off Alibaba for almost nothing and start a business in my garage with no testing or quality controls. And as long as I don't make health claims, right now nothing would stop me. And honestly the packaging looks pretty good.

If the farm bill is a stepping stone to full legalization, regulation and enforcement then it was a needed step forward. If it never does then it may have caused more harm than good to CBD by creating a perfect storm for allowing bad or reckless actors in the market to take advantage of high consumer confidence.

You're right it's ridiculous to have less sales than a year ago, but I'm not convinced that the farm bill was reasonably a catalyst for more sales, it may be a catalyst for less.
