It will be interesting to see how the market behaves ( in terms of valuations) when PLUG is delivering EBITDAS profit on $250m turnover and others - especially Ballard - are losing 20-40% on much lower turn over and with a less clear path to growth and profitability.

If not PLUG buying/merging with Ballard - the current valuations are the wrong way round of course and would need to correct) than as you say a conglomerate could buy both and merge them. GE has always been a possibility.
