Deetew: FDA is under tremendous pressure but they can't just fire off an exemption to DSHEA without a change in the law. They don't make the laws. The current DSHEA law does not allow for an IND-approved drug to be in a dietary supplement. The approval of the Farm Bill was big, but now it has to be followed through by Congress. There are still a lot of old white guys who side with the notorious quote that "good people don't smoke pot." What is astounding is that a high % of citizens want MJ to be allowed. You can then choose to use it or not. I can tell you that my wife will never use it, but she takes CBD every night before bedtime.

I agree that our President paved the way with the approval of the Farm Bill, but that has not progressed us far enough. We'll see if he will push his party to go further.

As to being wrong about CVSI, IMO we're at the beginning and we are the Top Dog. We're the one in conversation with FDA, we're the one that has published toxicology results, and a placebo controlled clinical trial in healthy volunteers. If we wanted, we could put on our label that it helps with relaxation (because we have a study). I suspect we won't, because we don't want to push FDA. Believe me, Dowling, Tomc and MacKay are being as strategic as possible. I know that progress is too slow for most of us, but I have faith in them and our day will come. Just watch.
