Brilacidin is not a haphazardly construed small molecule, but was synthesized by leading doctors from the U of PA using a super computer resulting in what many consider to be the foundational De Novo drug in a new class of medicine, (HDP), which stands for host defense peptide mimetics. This all came about around the year 2000. Polymedix came into being in 2003. In effect, it is among the earliest examples of AI (artificial intelligence) being brought to bear on medicine.
Bottom line: It has all the attributes AND MORE of natural defensins (more because it is said to be 100 times as powerful as natural defensins and 1000 times more selective) and that is why it is so powerful yet so safe.
I would think most everyone has seen the beer commercial where they say what had taken many years in developing a new tasting beer (and whose yeast and brewing was supportive of high volume manufacturing) can now be done in mere seconds or minutes using super computers. Thus, it is easy to see why so many positive traits were incorporated into the B small molecule and the vast majority of negative traits were designed out of the drug. The only negatives I have heard to date regarding Brilacidin is that it may work too effectively and thus has to be reined in for some indications (as in getting thru the stomach via pill prior to releasing B so it doesn't hurt any probiotic bacteria in the stomach and it could possibly cause some eye infection high blood pressure due to being too strong but nothing definite about this).
The above is why so many of us believe Brilacidin is far more than a mere drug, it is a new class of medicine with tremendous upside. Are many even aware that it has been linked to possibly working on COPD, though there are assuredly many other major revenue streams and crippling/deadly conditions against which it will prove effective?
I have always wondered if, when money is available, mgt would consider running Kevetrin thru a super computer to see if it could be more refined into the strongest, safest beast possible? IMO it already is darn near totally safe, so they could mainly work on beefing it up even more.
All in all, many reasons why so many here are enjoying today with a BIG smile on their face and in their heart while those wailing in the street over the share price can't see beyond the tip of their nose as to what they own.
