The Canadian judge said that BioAmber had not filed for bankruptcy under the Canadian law BIA. And that was true. BioAmber had filed for bankruptcy protection from its creditors under Chapter 11 of the US bankruptcy code, then moved to Chapter 15 to deal with the foreign subsidiaries. BioAmber remains bankrupt, completely liquidated, out of business, and carrying a massive debt.
