This is a lie.
It is often posted here by the faithful that the mine is break-even without the scandium. This completely false, and mis-represents the project entirely.
This is a scandium mine. The NIOCORP executives do not hide this fact, so I do not know the Longs here keep pushing this narrative.

Scandium could (should?) be deemed essential for long-term US security, so this may be one way the project gets financed.
