My son's experiment with keeping the plumber's putty in the frig worked like a charm.

My neighbor called me Friday evening and asked if I had any since he was putting in a new disposal.

Sure enough the stuff was still pliable after warming up and saved him a 1/2 hour trip to Home Depot.

Sometimes a kid can teach his dad new tricks.
