Melt Pool Monitoring – monitoring the weld pool
In order to have a better overview of the LMF process in the TruPrint machine and to be able to optimally evaluate the component quality, you can take advantage of the Melt Pool Monitoring product for the TruPrint 2000 and the TruPrint 5000, alongside the Powder Bed Monitoring function. Melt Pool Monitoring monitors the weld pool of the laser metal fusion process using sensors. Take advantage of a detailed quality check and documentation, layer-by-layer. This enables you to detect any process deviations early on, including during series production, and, if necessary, visualize areas of the component that are critical. These key figures can then be automatically compared with a reference build job to monitor the stability of the process. When using several lasers, you can also monitor all of the weld pools in parallel with ease.

there really shouldn't be any technical reason why this shouldn't be possible for any melt pool monitoring system, and i'd be disappointed if sglb would try to make a big deal out this
