This statement applies to any company on the face of the earth, traded in any manner and on any exchange, OTC, NYSE, TSX, or otherwise.

If someone thinks that an active ticker means the company is alive and well, then they don’t understand the OTC all that well and are in for a rude awakening at some point.

Of course an "active ticker" has nothing at all to do with the fundamentals or fundamental situation of any company.

As an example, traders have been buying and selling Tesla stock for over 16 years, with 95% of that time the company posting losses. By that measure the company is hardly doing "well", but it certainly has an "active ticker".

BioAmber Sarnia Inc. and Bioamber Canada Inc. entered CCAA in Canada in 2018, (of which BioAmber Inc. is the sole shareholder), with the necessary Chapter 15 for BioAmber Inc. to facilitate and administer the cross-border proceeding in an attempt to either restructure or sell the company. BioAmber Inc. is the US Parent company and BioAmber Sarnia Inc. and BioAmber Canada Inc. foreign subsidiaries.

Much has been made about the fact that the original SISP "failed" ("failed" needs to be in quotes as 2 strategic buyers retracted their bids after PwC publicly exposed them, which many key shareholders consider gross negligence) and therefore the second SISP produced a "rather exceptional liquidation process" (judge Pinsonnault's exact words). Many then thought it became impossible for a strategic buyer to purchase the company as a whole, or restructure one of the companies and purchase the other. However, Visolis and LCY Chemical Corp created a joint venture agreement to own and operate the Sarnia plant and invest in BioAmber Inc., thereby making them strategic buyers and not liquidators. As such, BioAmber's situation is far more complex and requires more understanding than any cursory glance will provide.

Just as an "active ticker" is no indicator of a company doing "well", neither is the presence of a "Q" or trading in the OTC indicative of the fact that BioAmber's shareholders will remain intact.
