GETTING INSIDE MITCH’S HEAD

I think we are going to be seeing more legislation from Mitch sooner than later

Enforcement Discretion for Pure CBD products would be fantastic all by itself, but more legislation is needed to optimize the 2020 American Hemp & CBD Economy ahead of the 2020 elections

Mitch can attach CBD legalization to any pre-existing bills that are already out there and close to the finish line

Appropriations bills are the most obvious candidate

The SAFE Banking Act would be another excellent opportunity to attach CBD Legalization, as this looks like a Q1 event and it completely opens up the financial side of the Hemp & CBD economy

And what’s the point of opening up banking, credit card processing and investing via legislation if you are going to leave the legal status of CBD up to the FDA?

That’s like planning on eating a PB&J sandwich without having any peanut butter

The most logical timeline is ahead of the 2020 planting season

That’s Q1 2020

The big fly in the ointment right now for any legislation is the impeachment drama

But that should blow over by Q1

Legislation to federally legalize Hemp-derived CBD could appear in a few different formats

Given that the FDCA makes it illegal to market a pharmaceutical drug in dietary supplements or put it into the food supply, the easiest thing to do is to make a legal exception in the FDCA Act for “CBD” in dietary supplements and foods

That’s what the dietary supplement organizations are pushing very hard right now — a legal exception in the FDCA for hemp-derived CBD (cannabidiol)

That’s Pure CBD only
