I'm sure you are not implying there may never be a time in a company's fortunes that that option (rs) might not be entertained and certainly not negated.
I've seen exactly this long term carrot scenario too many times
It buys the company's lenders months and months of distribution$
"Well, we aren't ready for the uplist and our share isn't worth a nickel -
with great regret but necessity we have to wipe our loyal sh outt".
