I don't think next year will be abuse deterrent time. I think it is time for us to put that aside as a goal. I'm grateful my doctors wouldn't make me pay 5 times more for a drug because someone else may abuse it. I'm not going to let someone else get ahold of it. The only way that we could get a market were if it were legally required to only prescribe abuse deterrent. And since they recently completed a clinical trial that a combination of acetaminophen and ibuprofen works as well for acute pain as opioids why bother with prescribing them to anyone except the few who truly need them (end of life pain management, those who have liver damage, and a very small percentage of chronic pain patients). I've tried the combo of over the counter and it really does work as well and without the side affects of not being able to drive, etc.

Good riddance to the opioid business! Hello, all the other billion dollar markets!
