In 2016, Dorvil took his first company GEX Management public. The US Secretary of Commerence Wilbur Ross named Dorvil the youngest African American to take a company public in US history. Under his leadership, the company grew from $500k in 2016 to over $8mm in revenue in 2017. The Dallas Morning News named GEX the fastest growing public company in North Texas. In 2018, Dorvil sold controlling interest in GEX to a private investor and resigned from the company.

Today, Dorvil serves as at Dog for Dog. Dog for Dog is a social entreprise that makes food, product and cash donations to a dog rescues and shelters for every sale.

Dorvil has received a number of awards recognizing his work. In 2010, Dorvil received the Minority Business Leader award from the Dallas Business Journal and GEX made it to the Top 100 on SMU's Dallas 100 Fastest-Growing Businesses list. In 2011, Dorvil was the youngest-ever honoree on the DBJ’s 40 Under Forty, and GEX was Number 450 on the Inc. 500 List of fastest-growing companies in the United States. In addition, he has been asked to speak at multiple SXSW events and asked to give a TED Talk at SMU.
