BioAmber is bankrupt, was in Chapter 11, and went to Chapter 15 for the sole reason it has foreign subsidiaries.

In addition, it has been liquidated, has gone completely out of business, all the executives, board, employees are all gone, and the proceeds from the liquidation and all other sources barely touched the massive debt.

No way around it, a company that is out of business, completely dead, carrying a massive debt that it cannot pay is bankrupt, period.
