He now has moved his work into a very tough field with trying to get important substances through the blood brain barrier to repair damages brain cells like astrocytes. What this guy (Michael W. Fountain) has done is create a carrier molecule called a Liposome (of his specific design) to carry important molecules through the blood brain barrier (have to be small molecules).

These molecules can repair the broken brain. BOOOOOOOMMMMMMMM

This aspect of liposomal research is small, but he is now the one who owns the blood brain barrier work which is important for the military and athletes suffering from head trauma.
