**Date of commitment passes**

Realists - "Told you so!"

Fanboys - "They never made a commitment"

MI/FM - Makes new commitment, plus "this is even better! That's why it takes a bit longer"

Fanboys - "Yay! At last."

Realists - "Not gonna happen"

Fanboys - "This time is different"

And so the endless cycle continues as it has for 50 YEARS!
