My take is both parties (Stelis & Zimmerman) might have met after the expiry of the patent on 2018-03-07 and reached a collaboration agreement. Zimmerman later incorporated in June of the same year and bought a domain name for the business. Something initiated the renewal of the patent and instead of 4 years they renewed for 8 years on 2018-09-07. And now Strides (parent company) is pushing Stelis to proceed with the insulin work. Inventor Zimmerman knows everything about the patent. Zimmerman must be involved here. This has been planned for more than a year since last year. In collaboration with Zimmerman, I think they are resuming the unfinished work that was conducted prior to 2013. Zimmerman still owns all the data.
