It's just short volume the total volume of the public/mm/broker ect who shorted that day. Today is the day firna records the open short positions at end of trading and posts it 15 days later "short interest"on there site which is a scheduled 2 times a month so you will always know when to make sure you cover last thing you want is public to know is how many shares they leave open for next day or so.Short interest is late worthless number in Otc once in a while they get caught up and can't cover on these days show huge short position still open but by the time we see it 15 days later the positions would already be closed.
