It was the Harper Conservatives that were forced to legalize it medically and the Trudeau liberals were elected by a landslide when they ran on making it legal recreationally (one of the few election promises they actually kept)Since they did legalize it, the cannabis industry has created more jobs than any other sector of the economy. I do not see why you see this as a bad thing. If you had taken my advice, way back when Baby Tweed was being born, you could have invested the price of a premium q/p @260an ounce $260x4=$1040,back when I first saw folks telling you to get in to this industry YOU helped build you could have bought at 2.99 a share, you could have had 347 shares which if you had sold at the high of $76 you would have had $26,434. Hell, if you had done that today after all of the "losses" you would still have $9,899 for investing for 5 years! Everyone I know who grew and sold still does. The one who listened to me made enough money to open their own vape shop all legal like while they wait for the actual licenses to become available.
What the militants did was get this marvelous plant to the level that it is. In a funny way prohibition is the best thing that could have happened to this plant because if it had not, no one would pay it any mind like other magical plants like lavender and mint.

You can get inexpensive shares in decent companies in this low cycle while the USA is still ass backward and the Canadian market is still in its embryonic stages and the world is waking up.
