Kic your mother is exactly right. They take the laptop right to the patient's bed side and enter the info from there, secured wireless connection. As db-ill stated a big problem with security in VA. Luckly the kids that stole that infamous laptop had no idea what information they really had. Every Doctor could have there own CyberKey with their patient's records on it so that when they go into an examing room they would just have to pull up the needed info. Quick, secure and accurate. I would hope someone from Mgmt or sales were in contact with the VA. They are the second largest department in the gov't. Hospitals, nursing facilites and out patient clinics all over the country.
