MC was blindsided by few democratic lawmakers. Probably MC was not well prepared. MC tried to defend his handling of conservatorship with unwarranted remarks rather than explain based on HERA, corporate laws, administration policies and practical realities.

During hearing, MC forgot that it does not matter what personal views he has professed in the past. Going forward MC needs to forget his personal views on GSEs and just focus on current administration policies.
