I have a theory from a male point of view. As most humans prefer instant gratification I have found most females love it. I have always told myself to never promise a woman anything if you can’t give it to her immediately or soon after you offer it. That being said it would make sense to start the advertisement to the public shortly before the movie comes out. It is also possible that the stores are not completely stocked up on their Lego sets or all of the products they would like to have in front of this rushing group of eager to buy females. JMHO
