The Problem

Not all electricity generated is consumed. Electric motors that power HVAC, refrigeration, industrial machinery, pumps, and lighting ballasts, consume about 80% of power provided–80% is usable (in-phase) and consumed. The 20% that supplies the leverage to turn the motors (magnetizing current) becomes unusable (out-of-phase) and travels back to the utility or shunted to ground (wasted).  This phenomenon contributes to line congestion and appears as demanded electricity. 20%-40% more power is generated and delivered than is consumed.

The Solution

PAS captures the unusable (out-of-phase) electricity before it travels back to the utility and recycles* it to be usable again (in-phase) to the end-user.

*Recycle is not a term found in any electrical engineering textbook–it is our explanation of the phase-to-phase application of precise capacitance on every cycle without a reactor.

Recycling electricity with PAS technology can:

Reduce line congestion and increase the reserve margin

Reduce needed generation capacity by up to 40%

Reduce carbon footprint of the electric utilities—decarbonizing the grid

Reduce the incidence and economic cost of power outages

Improve the efficiency of all delivered electricity regardless of fuel source

Improve reliability of the grid and free-up capital to invest in the grid

Extend the life of the grid and protect it from excessive wear and damage

Create true cost savings net of ~$5,000 per month per system for the utility
