As I recall and I'm going off of memory, kane came up with the protocol the company implemented. Why would a scientist/geneticist have to come up with a protocol if its been done for thousands of years?

Quality control for look and feel isnt even close to quality control for strength and elasticity.

One is done by looking and feeling, the other is done, I assume, by testing the tensile strength and elasticity on some kind of measuring device. That cant be done by looking at it and touching it.

I dont know what the protocol they implemented is. That is why we dont know the costs for quality control are.
Could be insignificant.
That's what I'm hoping for.
