In the 2 areas most important to the Oligarchy who run the US, there are no real differences between the political 'Parties' -

1) Federal Reserve System - neither Party will oppose it.

2) Endless war - the only difference is that Reps attack countries directly, while the Dems will use proxies and call it 'humanitarian intervention' or 'responsibility to protect'. The end result is the same, endless war.

The political debate that is allowed is restricted to hot button emotional 'wedge issues' -- God, Guns, Gays, and Abortion. This is what is commonly understood to be Conservative or Liberal, but public preoccupation on these wedge issues is exactly what the Oligarchy wants. It keeps people preoccupied, divided, and deluded into believing that they actually have a choice. But on the important issues (1 and 2), there is no choice, and nothing ever changes.

Historian Webster Tarpley says that Oligarchy is the hardest type of system to get rid of, and calls it 'The Cancer in Human History' -

Here's what Abraham Lincoln had to say about the Finance Oligarchy, and the same bunch is running things today -

"The money powers prey upon the nation in times of peace and conspire against it in times of adversity. The banking powers are more despotic than a monarchy, more insolent than autocracy, more selfish than bureaucracy. They denounce as public enemies all who question their methods or throw light upon their crimes. I have two great enemies, the Southern Army in front of me and the bankers in the rear. The money power of the country will endeavor to prolong its reign by working upon the prejudices of the people until the wealth is aggregated in the hands of a few, and the Republic is destroyed."
