If you open an account with almost any US brokerage firm, you should be able to sell your PIOE shares. (In 2017 PIOIQ shares were cancelled after their bankruptcy case was completed. The "new" company then exchanged PIOIQ shares on a one for one basis for shares in their company with a new ticker symbol "PIOE".)

PIOE is traded in the US Over the Counter (OTC). They acquired a US private equity advisor company and are currently profitable. You can find more info on this company at their webpage on OTCMarkets.

PIOE is not an SEC-registered company anymore, which may be the cause of your problems trying to sell those shares. But like I said in the beginning, if you can open a brokerage account with almost any US based brokerage you should be able to sell your old shares. I recommend Ameritrade.
