Georgio, I do appreciate your reply. If the underlying asset is as you suggested they would be using an AAA rated international bank and pledged in an entirely different manner, not via an un-rated financial institution (which is not a bank by the way). By nature they are not investment grade. I have years of experience with the institution mentioned and we no longer work with them for various reasons. The underlying collateral you mentioned is not lifted bank to bank (or country to country) so there is no issue there. Wiring large amounts of funds (SWIFT MT103)from one country to another is a daily occurrence globally whether it be for project development, commodities, ect. Funds are most often received within 24 hours and in some cases may take up to 3 banking days. Their explanation does not have any merit. Sorry I couldn't reply privately.
