The well was not "dry" in the sense that the well was never meant to be a producing commercial well. It was an exploratory well which would eventually lead to a commercial well should they find what they wanted.

It now sounds like they did find what they wanted.

I remember I back then kept talking about the fact that is was very, very strange that they made conclusions for the (incredibly huge) whole block, based on just one drill, objectively not possible. The block was too big.
