You can have empathy without forcing the population at large to renounce biological facts. You are either Male or Female. You may identify with one or the other. But you are either.

There are no other choices with unique non-English pronouns to be assigned to individual preferences of what to be called.

If someone says they are a little kid and wants to be call "little one", do you buy into that narrative and abide by those preferences? (We are assuming there is no way you would think the individual is mentally ill, just identifies at being a pre-pubescent child.)
