MDM Permian, LLC was registered in Texas in 2017 by Mr. Michael L. Rafael. The primary objective of the company is to build value in the Permian Basin of West Texas and Eastern New Mexico. This will be accomplished through strategic lease acquisition, drilling and producing oil and natural gas, purchase of existing production, re-working old oilfields for overlooked reserves, and waterflooding energy depleted zones. MDM Permian, LLC recently completed a reverse merger and is now a publicly traded company, MDM Permian, Inc.

MDM Energy, Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary operating company of MDM Permian. MDM Energy, Inc. was incorporated in the state of Texas in 1981. The company has drilled over 125 wells in the Illinois Basin over the last decade and had been involved in all aspects of oil and gas development in the basin for over 35 years. As founder and President, Michael L. Rafael has led the company since inception and takes an active, hands on approach to the business. Michael Rafael has over 35 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, serving as founder, President and Chief Executive Officer of MDM Energy, Inc. Mr. Rafael is also founder and President of the newly formed MDM Permian, LLC.

Mr. Rafael has been directly involved in the drilling, completion, and operation of over 350 oil and gas wells, primarily in the Illinois Basin and the Ft. Worth Basin, and directly supervises and oversees all field operations. Mr. Rafael works directly with contract geologists, petroleum engineers, and geophysicists throughout all phases of operations. These include the generation of prospects, the acquisition of leases, and the gathering of scientific data as well as the planning and drilling of the prospects through completion and production. MDM Energy, Inc. provides pumping and maintenance services as well as water hauling and lease management in The Illinois Basin.

Mr. Rafael is a past President of the Kentucky Independent Petroleum Producers Association (KIPPA) which subsequently merged its membership with the Kentucky Oil and Gas Association (KOGA). Mr. Rafael and MDM are members of the Indiana Oil and Gas Association (INOGA), the Illinois Oil and Gas Association (IOGA), and the Independent Producers Association of America (IPAA). In 2009 Mr. Rafael and MDM Energy, Inc. were nominated for the ‘Wildcatter of the Year’ award by the Illinois Oil and Gas Association.
