Dr. David Weissberg is a very active Board Certified Orthopedic surgeon who has multiple offices throughout Suffolk County Long Island, New York. Dr. Weissberg grew up in Huntington, New York where his main office is located. After graduating Huntington High School he earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Stony Brook University where he graduated Cum Laude. He went on to attend Downstate Medical School where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. After completing his General Surgical internship at Kings County Hospital he did a 4 year residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Stony Brook University. Dr. Weissberg initially went into private practice in Huntington, New York. During that time he served as the President of The Huntington Medical Group as well as being the football team physician for the Huntington, Walt Whitman and Northport school districts. Dr. Weissberg developed and was the CEO of Long Island Physicians Holdings Company which created and managed Long Islands' first physician own medical insurance company in the 1990's. Later Dr. Weissberg was brought on initially to the Board of Directors and then CEO of a publicly traded Biotech company Cytocore Inc. Additionally, Dr. Weissberg served as President and other roles as an officer at the Melville Surgery Center. Dr. Weissberg has always maintained a strong interest in the biotechnological aspect of medicine. His practice in addition to his surgical treatments also uses a great deal of Orthobiologic solutions for his patients. These treatments include his use of Stem Cells, Platelet Rich Plasma, Embryonic tissue and Viscosupplementation procedures to provide excellent non surgical outcomes for his patients. Dr. Weissberg was brought on by the company MarijuanaDoctors.com as a medical adviser and was instrumental in developing a CME course to educate physicians on the use Medical Marijuana in New York State.
