I think this is just the first round of shakeout. These companies are largely retail-owned. No way the mm’s/hedgies were going to let a bunch of retail make an easy killing. They will flush a lot of investors out and then run it up again after they are positioned. A percentage of the companies will fail because this attack on the sector’s stocks has destroyed some companies’ access to capital.
