California bill'AB228" is again active and off 'suspense' status.(food additive concerns). Once again the Bill that the Assembly and Senate passed and sent to the California Governor will be presented written differently as the >< Jan. 7th, 2020 session gets started.
The McConnel request to the FDA Sept 17 2019 is a clock ticking also....
McConnell’s draft proposal, shared by the Hemp Roundtable, would require the FDA to:
•Within 90 days, issue a report to Congress explaining its approach to developing regulations around CBD that meets “the definition of hemp” (less than 0.3% THC),(December 2019?) and
•Within 120 days(January 2020?), issue a formal policy on “enforcement discretion,” which would remain in place until the agency adopts formal regulations.
