Maybe we should have low expectations and be pleasantly surprised if anything good happens somewhere down the line?

Anyone who has low expectations for this stock should have a ceiling on the price you're willing to pay for it. If you own some, and if the market price becomes two or three times that price, you should sell it at that price, just because it is a multiple of your estimate of the fair value. The lawsuit will drag on for years. Any fantasy about a big profit as a direct result of a win in the appeals court is not a reason to hold it.
