Hundreds of foreign news reporters with their cameras will be in Santiago for this monumental event and you can bet your sweet SEA state-furnished sanitary napkins that Pinera will be wanting to demonstrate to the world that Chile is not still some pinko commie sheethole banana republic unworthy and unsuitable for SERIOUS international investment as so well detailed in part today by Laura Millan Lombrana in her story for Bloomberg on the short-sighted/stupido beaners in South America including Chile.

Pinera's press conference right after the Trump Xi Jinping signing of the treaty might go something like this if those lazy f$5g6ts at the SEA are still urinating on our Maricunga Project EIA documents.

Mr President, you have stated you want international investors to pump upwards of $3,000,000,000 cash into Chile in the first round of new lithium "up front" development in Chile. In the two years since you have been in office, have you signed even one new lithium mining permit in Chile?
President Pinera: Errrrr Ahhhhh, no.
Reuters Reporter: OK, I see. One international lithium miner named MSB SpA (aka canary in the coal mine) has been trying to get a simple basic lithium mining permit EIA approval for the last year (correction by editor... 8 years). Has that long-delayed EIA approval even been issued yet? And if it hasn't been issued how then can you stand on this stage today with a straight face and try to talk all the other foreign lithium miners/associated-companies to come to Chile and endure this kind of outrageous bureaucracy/delays/foot-dragging?
President Pinera: Hmmmm, I don't have a good answer for that question at this time.
