I was actually thinking that. I also think "descoping" can be like "downsizing" or removing certain parts of the contract which pretty much implies "the contract" would be broken up into "multiple contracts".

However, like others, I also HATE that we are left to guess what is actually going on or going to happen while we sit in the dark!
