geodan... There is at least one other way this kind of trade happens. It has happened to me- I put is a rather large, day trade, limit order (forgetting to specify, fill or kill / all or none, instructions) at the price is selling for when I place my order. the broker get me a few shares, then no more; at the end of the day my broker gets his fee which effectively makes my cost for a few shares very expensive.
