Wow, I was here back then and there was nothing voluntary on the part of GSEs. they were told what to do every step of the way. They still qualified to be on the exchange but the unilateral forces told Them to delist them. They were compliant up to that very day. For anyone to say sooner or later is not an optional statement. They were driven into the ground, by the forces that controlled them. Corker was the epitome of crime in government when he told the world to short the GSEs. People were afraid of FHFA and we didn’t have all these docs, and people didn’t know Obama was using our money to fund Obamacare. normally that statement would have brought on class actions galore. So much has changed and become now know what thieves they really were. Anyone would have to be a moron to look back and make statements saying the should have been delisted sooner or later.
