Something that I found interesting today that I didn't realize till now. I'm not sure if this was discussed as I didn't keep up with this board most of the summer.

This is from the July 14th PR:

Signed a development agreement with a market leader in high performance textiles, to create the next generation of non-woven protective fabrics using spider silk.

Kim went out of his way to say that the agreement is for "non-wovens". I always thought that there would be some friction between Polartec and the big company (yet to be named but "revenue in the billions") in regards to who will get the first available deliveries of our spider silk. But it seems like Polartec's agreement is only for non-woven fabrics. This makes a ton of sense.

The spent holed cocoons that kraig will be using for the breeding process will still be very valuable. They won't be able to use these cocoons to weave into threads, but they will be perfect for creating matted or fleeced material. Who is the foremost developer of fleece? that's right, Polartec. They invented fleece in the 80's. I believe Kraig will be supplying them with spent cocoons for non-woven fabrics.

This would give the larger apparel company first access to the spider silk fiber for woven materials.

Again, I'm not sure if this was already discussed but I found it interesting
