I can't figure out Yong Li's role in this.
But, the simplest explanation probably is the right one.
1) They do want to (reverse) merge with the sister in Shanghai. They always wanted the high value plantations listed IMO, even before the asset swap.
2) They do want to use all that cash and enter the movie business. Whether that is still the plan, who knows. But it was at the time. AND, they want to use the listing to raise even more cash, if needed. That's what all companies want.
