When stocks drop its due to short sellers and when they run its due to *smart money*. Got it. You guys are a trip.

Yeah, I know I'm "a trip", and I sure have much more to learn.

I've invested in stocks for more than 40 years, but only in straight investing and none of the fancy tricks that investors with no money of their own use to manipulate the markets. I'm a simpleton, I reckon, but I don't understand why the market doesn't run off of "honest money" pure investment.

You believe in a company and you buy in. You wait while the company grows and hopefully makes a profit and that profit gets reflected in its share price. You both make it or break it on the financial success of the company.

It seems so unfair that a good company and good investors can wake up one morning after things running smoothly for many months and these 'thieves in the night' have robbed you both of everything using their short selling methods.

It is all illogical to my simple mind. No one should have that power. I would like to know who the evil genus was that thought up this scheme and who the evil people over the whole stock markets were who approved suck a racket. That's it. A straight line, honest investor feelings here.
